Leaving: A Poem by Meyer Lane

Leaving

Of gilded sights
and abstract might
I reach out
to grab
the paper door

In where to go
or where I am
the mind seems
to fly
without a care

Somewhere to land
somewhere to roost
tis difficult
for the ever changing floor

Break my reigns
those thousand chains
and send them off
to hold my mind
no more
